Living on Maui and being part of the Civilian Emergency Response Team on the island I had an exciting Saturday with the big tsunami threatening our islands. After all it wasn’t so bad, our harbor and airport which is the lifeline of our island and connection to the outer world with food and gas was spared of major destruction. It was an amazing feeling driving down the hill to my place of assembly to wait for orders of the Civil Defense Department. Even if I have been trained how to respond to emergency and disasters – a little- it seemed like those things always happen to others in China or Chile. I have never been touched by total destruction myself in my life. My adrenals were working over time and I was prayer that we will be spared by the worst, which we were thank God.

It made me realize how interconnected we all are and we are all facing amazing and challenging changes and forces beyond our control. And beside the celestial dance of the planets representing the ruling forces of the universe I am commenting on every week, I thought it was time to take a deeper look this week into the bigger picture of what the heck is going on. It is called the big T-square!
